I feel slightly embarrassed talking about myself. I am a shy, private person. I like calm and routine, and I enjoy observing, noticing, listening, and understanding. I like to taste and smell, and it's important to me to allow myself to feel however I'm feeling at the moment - sometimes I laugh and make jokes, and other times I get teary. I'm interested in people, and I care about them. I love living.
For six years, I studied philosophy at Vilnius University, where I learned to see the world curiously, openly, and critically. For twenty years, I have learned from children, teenagers, and young people, teaching them philosophy and consulting them. For four years, I volunteered and supervised at the Child Line. For another four years, I learned Gestalt psychotherapy at the "Dialogas" Institute and successfully passed the exam. I continue to learn at Summer Residentials of Gestalt Associate Training Los Angeles (GATLA) to further my knowledge. I attend workshops on various topics, including work with organizations, couples, LGBT people, body, grief, depression, addictions, suicide, anxiety, shame, and more. I learn every day - from successes and failures, and from every person I meet.
For me, psychotherapy is an open, honest, and caring meeting. It gives people the opportunity to meet themselves and become aware of how they keep up living a life that lacks satisfaction, meaning, or joy. And then support them to find the courage to choose how they want to live from now on.
My office is located in Vilnius, Žvėrynas, at the crossroads of Kęstučio and Mickevičiaus streets. It's easy to find and reach.
There's no need to "rehearse" what you want to tell me when you call or write for the first time. It's enough to say that you want help, to talk, or a consultation. I'll ask what I need to know.
